This 30-hour training offers a comprehensive immersion into transformational breathwork as a powerful somatic and psychological tool for self-inquiry, emotional processing, and expanded states of awareness—without the use of substances.

The training integrates traditional pranayama, yogic philosophy, and contemporary breathwork practices. The core methodology is a structured conscious connected breathing practice designed to safely support deep inner exploration and nervous system activation, allowing participants to access non-ordinary states of consciousness in a supported, intentional container.

This work is informed by the broader lineage of modern breathwork traditions, including holotropic-informed approaches, rebirthing-style practices, and contemporary conscious connected breathing modalities, while remaining grounded in trauma-informed facilitation and integrative somatic awareness.

Upon completion, participants receive 30 hours of Yoga Alliance Continuing Education credits and a Certification in Transformational Breathwork Facilitation.

What Participants Can Expect

Participants will be guided through an integrated blend of experiential breathwork sessions, theoretical study, and supervised facilitation practice. The training supports the development of both personal depth work and the ability to confidently hold space for others in expanded states of awareness and emotional processing.

The experience includes guided breathwork journeys, group process work, partner exercises, lecture-based learning, and hands-on facilitation practice.

Training Structure, Hours & Logistics

This 30-hour Yoga Alliance Continuing Education training takes place over two immersive weekends in October, combining in-person experiential learning with guided observation and independent study.

Schedule:

  • October 17–18 & October 24–25

  • Saturdays: 1:15pm–8:00pm (6.75 hours)

  • Sundays: 1:15pm–6:30pm (5.25 hours)

This provides 24 hours of in-person training, with the remaining 6 hours completed outside of class, including observation of two 75-minute breathwork classes at Riffs (2.5 hours) and 3.5 hours of at-home reflection, integration, and study.

Participants are also welcome to attend or observe the September breathwork workshop at Riffs, which may be counted toward observation hours or simply serve as an introductory experience to familiarize themselves with the method prior to enrolling in the training.

This blended structure is designed to support deep experiential learning alongside integration between weekends, allowing participants to more fully embody the material.
